Yes. Pressure testing isolates which side is losing water, which narrows the search a long way before any panel comes off.

Is winterizing worth it for a full-timer here?

Not usually — heat tape and bay heat make more sense for an occupied rig. Stored rigs should absolutely be winterized.

Water goes where it wants, and by the time a soft spot shows in the floor the leak has usually been running for months. The job is to trace the source instead of chasing the stain, repair the line or fixture properly, and pressure-test the system before the tools go back in the ambulance.
