RV Slide-Out Repair

Motors, gears, tracks, seals, hydraulics and alignment.

(936) 727-3066

A slide that stops halfway turns a camper into a very large lawn ornament. Most slide failures are mechanical and fixable — a stripped gear, a dry rail, a failed motor or a controller that lost sync. The first priority on any stuck-slide call is getting the room safely retracted so the rig can move.

What's covered

  • Manual retraction to make a stuck rig road-safe
  • Slide motor, gear and drive-shaft replacement
  • Rack, rail and roller alignment
  • Hydraulic pump, cylinder and line leak repair
  • Wiper and bulb seal replacement
  • Slide topper fabric and roller service
  • Controller sync and limit-switch adjustment

Symptoms we hear

  • Slide grinds, stalls or comes in crooked
  • Room only moves a few inches then stops
  • Clicking from the motor with no movement
  • Water tracking in along the slide edge
  • Hydraulic fluid pooling under the rig

Around Conroe specifically

Pollen and lake dust grind into slide rails and seals fast around here. Cleaning and treating the seals twice a year prevents most of the tearing and binding Jason sees on the east side of the county.

Common questions

My slide is stuck out — can you get it in today?
That's an emergency call and gets priority. Manual retraction usually gets you road-safe even if the full repair comes later.
Why does my slide leak when it rains?
Almost always the wiper seals or a failed topper, not the roof. Both are replaceable on site.
